BAFTA Awards Extremely recently the BAFTA awards took place in London and Dustin went there to present awards. Apparently he was very frightened of speaking in public as sources say and forgot some of his speech. Here's what he had to say to the topic:

"I still get terrible stage fright. I think it's an adrenaline thing but I get so scared and (Sunday night) was really bad. I do usually try to prepare a speech for things like this, but I have to admit that the last four lines of my speech were written by BAFTA and I had to ad-lib the rest. I got nervous, see."

Straw Dogs Some news somewhat relevant to Dustin. The 1971 drama film Straw Dogs is slowly being re-made with James Marsden as David (Dustin's character). The film is set to be released around October (Or February) 2011. Apparently it's already been filming since August 2009. It also stars Kate Bosworth as Amy. Here's some more info:

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------Italian Commericals Are usually things I disregard anyhow. Here is a late commerical Dustin did for a channel that aired in Italy.

It's hard to understand why anyone would expect much then, but apparently the Italians do. Dustin's new commerical that advocates tourism in the coastal Marche region of Italy is said to have sparked negative remarks from Italian Newspapers who report Dustin's Italian as nothing too remarkable. This is not starting off to be a good year for Mr. Hoffman, but I would like to add my two cents regarding that:

A.) Dustin is not native to Italy, so obviously his Italian isn't going to be brilliant.

B.) He's not EVEN Italian (As far as I know). He is a Polish Jew.

C.) Well, who cares. In the commerical he's stumbling over the words anyway. That's kind of the point.

D.) OBVIOUSLY there is SOMETHING the Italians like about him since if you look at the majority of the commericals he's DONE across the world they are mostly Italian.

But what are you goanna do?

See it or Skip it I've just come up with a page where I tell you whether you should see a Dustin Hoffman movie that is unknown to you or whether to not see it. This is all based on a fans point of view, but even if you disagree, look at the cool things you get to see him do section which is really the only thing worth viewing. The page is still being updated also. You can view it here.

I've also come to tell you that now it's almost likely that Dustin Hoffman will not return for the third installment of Meet The Parents as it's said in only two articles I've seen. One is this.

I'm still holding off until we know for certain that Dustin will not be in the squeal to say he will not be in it. We can only wait.

Being a webmistress, I feel the duty to be mature and wise about this, but I think I can speak for all Dustin fans when I say this sucks big time...

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------Barney's Version is a Richard Lewis movie, based on a Canadian book, that will come out 2010. In it, Dustin Hoffman plays Izzy, who is apparently a retired cop and the main characters father. It is said Here that the plot is around Dustin finding his son. Much is not known about the movie, but I'll be sure to collect updates on finds from it. Here's a short Youtube video behind the scenes look:
